Good Morning Cory, Lute, Laurie, and Amy!
I hope you enjoyed yesterday's snow day - wow! I found it so beautiful until we found our snow blower not starting. 😣 Ah well, got a lot of exercise shoveling!
As promised, I wanted to be sure to send along the handout from the last week in February so that you can do the ritual on your own.
In circle together at Healing Roots, we gathered around a small cauldron (but any fireproof container will do!) and wrote/draw/doodled on slips of paper before burning them one by one. The directions attached include a little info and reflection questions to help.
What to do with the ashes?
Rather than discard the ashes as we would have done in a releasing ritual, we actually keep the ashes by scooping them into tiny containers. We'll use the ashes from this ritual in our ritual at the end of this month, so go ahead and keep them.
Please note - don't worry if you don't have time to do this. I gathered plenty of ashes to hand out extra to those who weren't in attendance for this one and will provide them to you!
Above all, make this sacred and simple. Ritual and ceremony doesn't have to be complicated. The most important thing is what we bring to it .. our intention and our presence.
Here is the handout: February Week Four Handout
I hope you have a lovely day, and I'll see you hopefully next Tuesday night!
